Frequently asked questions

What is Trckify?

Trckify is a multi-sport GPS recorder and analysis app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac. It records eight sports — rowing, indoor rowing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, running, cycling and cross-country skiing — and doubles as a converter between GPX, Slopes and FIT files. One purchase covers all devices; there is no subscription.

Can Trckify record my Concept2 rowing machine?

Yes. Trckify pairs with the Concept2 PM5 monitor over Bluetooth and records live pace, stroke rate, power, distance, splits and intervals. You can program Just Row, fixed-distance, fixed-time or interval workouts on the erg right from the app, and Trckify can show your heart rate on the PM5 display. Finished workouts sync to the official Concept2 Logbook.

Does Trckify upload to Strava?

Yes. Connect your Strava account and upload outdoor and indoor activities as FIT files — per workout or automatically after every session. The number of simultaneously connected athletes is currently limited by Strava’s API tier; exporting the FIT file and uploading it manually always works as well.

Can Trckify convert Slopes or GPX files to FIT?

Yes. Trckify imports GPX and Slopes files and converts them to FIT for Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot, Zwift, TrainingPeaks and other platforms — with the correct sport code, heart rate and elevation preserved. It also exports plain GPX for universal compatibility.

Can Trckify plan routes and navigate them?

Yes. Trckify includes a route planner with profiles for road bike, trekking, gravel, MTB and on foot, built on OpenStreetMap data. Plan on iPhone or Mac — routes sync via iCloud — then follow the route on the map with turn hints and off-route alerts while recording. Every route keeps your best time, and routes export as GPX for bike computers.

Does the Apple Watch app work without an iPhone?

Yes. The Watch records standalone with GPS and heart rate — leave the phone at home. Recordings transfer to the iPhone automatically when the devices reconnect, and from there sync to the Mac via iCloud.

Can Trckify analyze my rowing stroke?

Yes. For on-water rowing, Trckify detects every individual stroke from motion sensors: per-stroke rate, drive intensity, stroke classification, and named training sections with their own pace and heart-rate stats. The Mac app adds large-screen charts, per-piece stroke profiles and side-by-side section comparison.

Is my data private?

Yes. Trckify has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Recordings stay on your devices and sync only through your personal iCloud — recorded GPS tracks are never sent to us. The only Trckify server is the anonymous route-planning service: it receives the waypoints of a route you plan, computes the path and stores nothing. Data goes to Strava or Concept2 only after you connect those accounts and trigger an upload yourself.

Is Trckify a subscription?

No. Trckify is a one-time purchase that includes the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac apps. All updates are free.
